Moorlands Boys Club

Mango optical are proud and happy to renew their sponsorship of Moorlands Boys Club, under 11's football team for the third year running.  The boys club, run by Tom Jackson, goes from strength to strength each year.  Their results on a weekly basis are nothing short of remarkable for such a new club.  The 2009 season well see Moorlands undertaking one and perhaps two trips abroad.  We are very happy that our sponsorship is now going international.

Uddingston Bowling and Tennis Club

As well as football, mango optical has been a keen supporter and sponsor of Uddingston Bowling and Tennis Club. We sponsor 3 tournaments each year and have been doing so since 2002. It’s always great fun to go and present the prize money and trophy to the winning team as we are made to feel so welcome each time we visit. Because of this very special partnership between  U.B.T.C. and mango optical, we can envisage further and increased sponsorship in the years to come.

PGA Professional Golfers

Mango optical continues to sponsor Euan Reid and John Mulgrew, PGA professional golfers, by supplying them with contact lenses. Euan is based in Hamilton where he has been trying to teach golf to the locals for many years with great success and has built up an extremely loyal and talented client base. John is based in Bothwell but tends to coach other PGA tour players during the winter season at The Belfry near Manchester. John explained that using glasses while teaching and especially playing was very restrictive. Changing to contact lenses improved his all round vision and John could not believe how easy and comfortable they were to wear. 

Professional Footballers

From their early days of playing with Motherwell Football Club, mango optical has sponsored footballers in the way of contact lenses. Derek Adams has loved wearing our daily disposable lenses in a career that has taken him from Motherwell FC to Aberdeen FC to Livingston FC and finally to Ross County FC as player/coach, and from season 2007 as full time manager. Steven Woods has also been wearing our contact lenses in a career covering Motherwell FC, Scotland international team, Livingston and since 2006 goalkeeping coach to Celtic FC. Craig Hinchcliffe, goalkeeper with St Mirren and currently now playing with Partick Thistle also wears our daily disposable contact lenses. We supply many more professional footballers with daily lenses due to the ease of use and visual performance, with the resounding response from all wearers being extremely positive.
